Internationales IF-Boot-Treffen in der Hansestadt Stralsund

Liebe IF-Boot Seglerinnen und Segler und die, die es werden wollen.
Wir freuen uns sehr anzukündigen, dass die Deutsche IF-Boot Klassenvereinigung e.V. zu einem Internationalen Treffen nach Stralsund einlädt.
Geplant ist ein Treffen mit zahlreichen Möglichkeiten, sich kennenzulernen, sich auszutauschen und Wettfahrten auf den Boddengewässern nördlich von der Hansestadt durchzuführen. The invitation has also been translated into English.
Der Fokus liegt auf dem Spaß am Segeln, nicht auf ernsthaften Wettfahrten, und wir freuen uns auf zahlreiche nationale und internationale Gäste mit Ihren Familien, die uns besuchen kommen.
Wir möchten uns zu unserem klassischen IF-Boot in Bezug auf Regatta-Taktik, Reparaturen, Segelreisen etc. austauschen. Ziel ist es eine gute Lernplattform für erfahrene IF-Boot Segler, aber auch für neue Bootseigner zu schaffen.
Den Rahmen für unser Treffen bildet die 75. Stralsunder Segelwoche. Dieses Segelevent findet seit 1949 statt und taucht die gesamte Stadt in maritimen Glanz. Hier der Link zur Veranstaltung: https://ssw.my-odoo.de/.
Der ausrichtende Verein für die Wettfahrten ist der Yachtclub Strelasund e.V., und wir sind sehr herzlich eingeladen, an dem überregionalen Segelevent teilzunehmen.
Das Programm für unsere Klasse wird im Vorfeld mit den Veranstaltern abgestimmt, und die Wettfahrten werden so geplant, dass wir zeitlich auch zu Ergebnissen kommen. Den Erhalt der Ausschreibungen und die Möglichkeit für die Wettfahrten zu melden, sind über das Portal manage2sail möglich, sobald diese verfügbar sind.
Folgende Termine bieten einen ersten groben Überblick:
Donnerstag und Freitag: 12. u. 13.06.2025 Anreise.
Freitag: 13.06.2025 17:00 bis 21:00 Uhr IF-Boot Empfang im Pumpenhaus.
Samstag: 14.06.2025 Regatta Rund Hiddensee, Start: 08:00h (ca. 35 Seemeilen, bei mäßigem Wind Bahnverkürzung), danach Abendveranstaltung (Seglerparty).
Sonntag: 15.06.2025 Gemeinsames Frühstück, danach kurze Wettfahrt, Abreise.
International bedeutet, dass Seglerinnen und Segler aus Schweden, Dänemark, Norwegen, den Niederlanden und Großbritannien herzlich eingeladen sind, an diesem besonderen Ereignis teilzunehmen. Wir hoffen sehr, dass zahlreiche internationale Gäste den Weg in die altehrwürdige Hansestadt Stralsund finden werden, um gemeinsam mit uns die Freude am Segeln zu teilen, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen und die einzigartige maritime Atmosphäre dieser geschichtsträchtigen Stadt zu erleben.
Die Hansestadt Stralsund liegt an der Brücke zur Insel Rügen, ist sehr sehenswert und wurde 2002 in die Welterbeliste der UNESCO aufgenommen. Die historische Altstadtinsel verfügt über ca. 520 Baudenkmäler und ist allseitig von Wasser, dem Strelasund und den Stadtteichen umgeben. Die seeseitige Silhouette ist vom Hafen geprägt und wird von den weithin sichtbaren drei großen Pfarrkirchen dominiert.

International IF-Boat Meeting in the Hanseatic City of Stralsund
June 12–15, 2025
Dear IF-Boat sailors and those who aspire to be!
We are delighted to announce that the German IF-Boat Class Association e.V. is inviting you to an international gathering in Stralsund.
The event will offer numerous opportunities to meet, exchange experiences, and participate in races on the Bodden waters north of the Hanseatic city.
The focus is on the joy of sailing rather than serious competition. We look forward to welcoming many national and international guests with their families.
We aim to share knowledge about our classic IF-Boat, including regatta tactics, repairs, and sailing trips. Our goal is to create a valuable learning platform for both experienced IF-Boat sailors and new boat owners.
Our event will be part of the 75th Stralsund Sailing Week, an annual sailing spectacle since 1949 that fills the entire city with maritime flair. Here is the link to the event: https://ssw.my-odoo.de/.
The races will be hosted by Yachtclub Strelasund e.V., and we are warmly invited to participate in this prestigious sailing event.
The program for our class will be coordinated in advance with the organizers, ensuring well-planned races.
Race registration and official announcements will be available via the manage2sail portal once they are published.
Preliminary Schedule:
Thursday and Friday, June 12th and 13th, 2025: Arrival.
Friday, June 13th, 2025: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM – IF-Boat Reception at the Pump House.
Saturday, June 14th, 2025: Regatta around Hiddensee, Start: 8:00 AM (approx. 35 nautical miles, course may be shortened in moderate wind conditions), followed by evening event (Sailors' Party).
Sunday, June 15th, 2025: Joint breakfast, followed by a short race, departure.
International Participation
We warmly welcome sailors from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom to join this special event. We sincerely hope that many international guests will find their way to the historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund to celebrate the joy of sailing with us, make new connections, and experience the unique maritime atmosphere of this historic town.

Stralsund, located at the bridge to Rügen Island, is a remarkable city that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002. The historic old town boasts around 520 architectural monuments and is surrounded by water—Strelasund and the city’s ponds. The city’s iconic waterfront skyline is shaped by the harbor and its three prominent parish churches, visible from afar.
